I Am a Moderate

October 27, 2006 / by jvanders

Today someone told me they werent a Republican or a Democrat, they are a Moderate and they vote for the right person for the job. This is really great if you are voting for a Mayor or Supervisor of a township, they set the direction for the city or the township. When we vote for a Senator or a Congressman that ONE person may not be able to solve any problems but in concert with others they CAN make changes. Many people say they can't tell the difference between Republicans or Democrats. Compare the remarks of Newt Gingrich with those of Harry Reid. Or those of Nancy Pelosi with those of Dick Armey. The Republicans are known for their strong position on defense, on trying to reduce the tax burden of the American Taxpayer. The Democrats are known for liking every tax that they can find. Take a look at Pelosi's record as a good example:

NO on barring transporting minors to get an abortion
NO on banning partial-birth abortions:
NO on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad:
NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes:
NO on funding for health providers who don't provide abortion info:
NO on banning partial-birth abortion except to save mother’s life
NO on making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime
NO on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions
YES on allowing human embryonic stem cell research
NO on allowing school prayer during the War on Terror
NO on Prescription Drugs under Medicare
NO on establishing Medical Savings Accounts
NO vouchers for private or parociahl schools
YES on replacing Death Penalty with life imprisonment
NO on making federal death penalty appeals harder
NO on $46billion in tax cuts for small business
NO on reducing Marriage tax by $3998 over 10 years
NO on Eliminating the Death Taxs
NO on making the Bush Tax Cuts Permanent
NO on reduced taxes on capital gains & dividends
NO on reporting illegal aliens who receive hospital treatment
NO on withdrawing from the World Trade Organization
NO on end offshore tax havens
NO on making Patriot Act permanent
NO on Deploying SDI
NO on banning soft money donations to national political parties
NO Drilling Anwr
No on Construction of new Oil Refineries
NO on military border patrols to battle drugs & terrorism.

Do we really need this San Francisco Liberal being two steps away from the Presdency?

A vote for someone of the opposite party will only increase their numbers to put in place laws that are opposite to our wishes. Even though it hurts me to choose a Republican over a Democrat, even though I might like the Democrat, voting for the Republican will give the Republicans the votes they need to pursue change.

If you want weaker Defense, vote Democrat
If you want higher Taxes, vote Democrat
If you want the government to take care of you from cradle to the grave, vote Democrat.

To make this election easier there have been some changes that you should be aware of, if you are a Republican the day to vote is November 7, 2006 if you are a Democrat be sure to vote on November 8th.

To Mr. Vanders: This was an invited guest to my blog and he has been living in America for 46 years. I myself was born in Ohio and both of us are grateful for the opportunities that this country has given us. I also feel that Latin America should find the testicles to remove their dictators.

I also agree that this a great country. It is a great country because of God, Diversity, and Individualism.

I also agree with you on One Nation, One Flag, One Language, and One People with one condition:

That ALL US CITIZENS ACCEPT EACH OTHER FOR WHO THEY ARE AND MARRY AMONGST EACH OTHER REGARDLESS OF RACE, AND ETHNICITY WITH A POLITICAL OPENING THAT INCLUDES LIBERTARIANS AND GREENS [EXCLUDED FROM DEBATES BECAUSE OF RIDICULOUS RULES BY REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS]

I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS WHO HAVE DESTROYED OUR BELOVED AMERICA SHOULD TAKE THE PLACE OF THE UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS BY DOING THEIR WORK.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THE TESTICLES TO DEMAND REFORM IN ITS POLITICAL SYSTEM IN ORDER TO EXTIRPATE THE REPUBLICAN/DEMOCRATIC CANCER THAT AFFECTS US [THIS EXTIRPATION IS BY PEACEFUL MEANS] AND REPLACE OUR MEDIOCRE POLITICIANS WITH A TRUE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT LEAD BY LIBERTARIANS AND GREENS WHO WOULD BRING TOLERANCE, UNDERSTANDING AND EFFICIENCY [INCLUDING A PRIVATIZATION OF THE GOVERNMENT INCLUDING MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY].

SAY NO TO DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS
SAY YES TO LIBERTARIANS AND GREENS
    FROM THIS OHIO BORN INDIVIDUAL

My American solution would be the following:

    1. A Return to A More Spiritual Outlook [finding God, Allah, Buddha]

    2. Accepting people for what they are.

    3. Less Government and More Responsability

    4. Term Limits for ALL Government Leaders in the USA

    5. The Replacement of Republicans and Democrats with a Multiracial and Multiethnic Government of Libertarians and Greens

    6. Encouraging from below romances and marriages of Americans without regard to race, ethnicity, beliefs with the intention of complying with the saying "E Pluribus Unum" [Out of Many, One].

    7. Have the Republican and Democratic Elite do the work of undocumented workers [as payment for the mess that America is in]

    8. Have people rewarded for the work they do not for being in a special position.

    9. Have people do more and talk about Health Care because our Health Care is deteriorating further.

[THUMBUP] A great post explaining the importance of voting Republican. Bad as the Republicans might be at times, the Democrats are far worse all the time.

A vote for Libertarians and Greens are wasted votes. Where does anyone say that people of different nationalities can't marry in the United states. The only thing the Republicans are against is when the left tries to call two men or two women a marriage. Call it a civil union call it civil agreement, call it two unrelated parties of the same sex but it ISNT a Marriage.

A Vote for Republicans and Democrats are wasted votes for me. I was a Republican during the Reagan Years and that was the only time the Republicans were good. The Democrats were wasted votes a long time ago. Anyway, if the Republicans and Democrats are sure of victory or that theand Greens are wasted votes, why do the Republicans and Democrats go through ALL of the trouble to use dictatorial tactics to keep Alternative Parties from even participating.
Libertarians in Ohio have challeneged Republicans and Democrats to a debate and both parties lack the testicles to debate.
Greens in Wisconson were excluded from a debate with Republicans and Democrats.
Others such as Vermont Commons have said : "The Hell with the System, Let's Separate".
For me, Libertarians and Greens ARE MORE AMERICAN THAN THE CORPORATE AND COMMUNIST TYRANTS CALLED REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS.

I am AGAINST Same Sex Marriage, but it is a hypocrisy that the USA wants ONE NATION but that the people DO LITTLE in the way of romance and friendship among the different ethnic groups and races in order to create A TRUE AMERICAN.

This will be my last response in this blog because after what I have seen in Republicans and Democrats, both are wasted votes. The only person worth something was Reagan.
